Negligent Journalism: Where it is, where it is going, and what you need to know by David Coles. Coles is a Partner with Boyne Clarke law firm in Dartmouth and practices in the areas of Business Litigation, Civil Litigation, Estate Litigation, Employment Law, Media Law and Construction Law. Presently the Chairman of the firm’s litigation section, David appears regularly in the Supreme Courts and the Courts of Appeal of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

You do the Math: Finding the real story in numbers by Robert Jones. Reporter and producer Robert Jones joined the CBC in 1990. Since that time, his reports have won widespread professional recognition. Jones is the recipient of several regional and two national investigative awards from the Radio Television News Director’s Association as well as an Atlantic Journalism Award for Enterprise Reporting. In 1997, the Canadian Association of Journalists named Jones’ documentary ‘A Matter of Pennies’ Canada’s Investigative Report of the Year.

Dispatches from the Pickton Pig Farm: How to manage a big story and not lose your way by Stevie Cameron. Cameron has had a diverse career in Canadian journalism, working in print, television and radio. She was the founding editor and editor-in-chief of Elm Street Magazine, a contributing editor to Maclean’s magazine as well as a weekly columnist for The Globe and Mail and political correspondent for The Ottawa Citizen. She is currently working on two new books including one on the notorious Pickton pig farm murder case in British Colombia.
